Hi, I’m Adyson Conner, and I’m a 15-year-old competitor in my second year with the North Texas High School Rodeo Association. Rodeo isn’t just something I do—it’s something I love and work hard at every single day. I compete in barrel racing and pole bending, and I’m currently working toward qualifying for the Junior NFR in Las Vegas in poles.

Last season was an exciting start to my high school rodeo journey. I earned 1st place in 2D poles at the NTHSRA Finals and finished 2nd overall in 5D barrels for the season. This year, I’ve continued to grow, running consistent 4D times on my 4-year-old gelding, Chics Dually Tank, and placing in the top 10 in poles with Colonels Peppy Snack.

One of the things I’m most proud of is that I’ve trained both of my horses on the patterns myself. I love building that partnership and seeing our hard work come together in the arena. Outside of rodeo, I have a huge heart for animals and spend my time pet sitting to help fund my competitions and take steps toward my goals.

I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to chase my dreams in and out of the arena.
